Former President Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance took the stage in Atlanta on Saturday evening to address the battleground state of Georgia.

He wasted no time in targeting some of the state’s top Republican leaders, accusing them of “want[ing] us to lose.”

He mentioned Republican Governor Brian Kemp, claiming: “Atlanta is like a killing field and your governor ought to get off his a** and do something about it.”

Trump baselessly claimed at the rally that Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was “doing everything possible to make 2024 difficult for Republicans to win.” After the 2020 election, Trump called Raffensperger, pressuring him to “find” votes in his state.

The former president also falsely claimed to the Atlanta crowd: “I won this state twice.”

MAGA fans packed into the Georgia State University Convocation Center where Trump’s Democratic rival Vice President Kamala Harris held a rally earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris , who officially secured the majority of pledged delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination on Friday, will be conducting interviews with her top veep contendors on Sunday.

Her campaign was fighting a scandal on Saturday afternoon after her husband Doug Emhoff admitted having an affair during his first marriage.
