The Atlanta Falcons descended upon South Beach for the first of two joint practices with the Miami Dolphins before their preseason game on Friday. The action from the practice was reportedly intense, enough to where the two teams met at the 40-yard line after a hard hit on receiver Drake London. But with all the reports coming in, it's time to do what we do best as football fans. Here are three overreactions to the reports coming from the first day of joint practices.

Falcons platoon approach to pass rush will be a success

Eight words. The Miami Herald's Omar Kelly tweeted four words and yet, they have a chance to help mend over a decade of angst for Falcons fans everywhere. When the Falcons decided to take a platoon approach to their pass-rush plan and focus their efforts on creating pressure from the interior, there were questions about how it would work. Well, early returns on investments seem to be fruitful.

Kelly also reported that the blitz packages sent by head coach Raheem Morris and defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake kept the Dolphins line guessing. They were disruptive enough to where cornerback Mike Hughes, just hours away from his alma mater, UCF, was able to come up with an interception on the newly-paid Tua Tagovailoa after pressure forced him to rush his reads.

    Speaking of Hughes...

Are we sure about this secondary?

Listen, Tyreek Hill was listed as the number-one player in the NFL for a reason. But there are still other concerns about the secondary. For instance, is Hughes our best bet at the second cornerback spot? Are we sure that it's not Clark Phillips III?

The Falcons defense didn't look the best against this Miami offense, having a particularly tough time containing former Virginia Cavalier Malik Washington, according to Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad and Hal Habib .

Dolphins may have a star in Chop Robinson

There are some things you simply can't teach. You can't teach someone to be taller, you can't teach someone to breathe and you can't teach the speed that rookie Chop Robinson has around the edge. There's no rhyme or reason for someone to have that kind of explosion off the edge and despite his slighter frame, it doesn't matter if the offensive lineman can't get their hands on him.

Joint practices between the two teams continue tomorrow.
