The Atlanta Braves finally got a fire lit.

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker has taken criticism this season for his laid back approach. He has stayed quiet even when all has gone wrong.

    Until tonight.

Snitker was ejected in the fifth inning of Wednesday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. It was his first ejection this season after arguing with a strike call on a fastball below the zone by home plate umpire Brian Walsh.

The call came in a game where Walsh missed a plethora of strike calls, mostly victimizing the Braves. The call also followed an inning where Walsh called a bal on two borderline strikes from Pierce Johnson that could've been strike three on Andrew Monasterio. Instead, it resulted in a two-out walk in an inning where the Brewers had already scored two runs.

Snitker immediately trotted out of the dugout with some choice words for Walsh, and the umpire didn't take long to wag the finger and send Snitker into the clubhouse. Snitker continued to get his money's worth, giving Walsh a good chewing – just like his predecessor Bobby Cox would've done.

It was a quick and simple ejection, but it did the trick to fire the team up.

After Soler struck out, Austin Riley came to the plate and launched a baseball 428 feet for a two-run go ahead homer. His 16th long ball of the season put the Braves on top in the bottom of the fifth, 4-3.

Make sure to notice the pun in this Braves' Twitter caption.

Atlanta might actually need to thank Walsh despite all the bad calls. The Braves ended their 24-inning scoreless streak in the first inning on back-to-back-doubles, and then Snitker's ejection led to the team's first homer since the third inning on Saturday.

Snitker's ejection means the Detroit Tigers and the Los Angeles Dodgers are the only remaining teams without an ejection this season. Along with Detroit's AJ Hinch and Los Angeles' Dave Roberts, the only managers without an ejection are Ron Washington (Los Angeles Angels), Stephen Vogt (Cleveland Guardians) and Rocco Baldelli (Minnesota Twins).
