Three-year-old revived and taken to hospital after falling into pool in Atlanta Wed.
ATLANTA, KS – A 3-year-old girl was resuscitated and taken to a Wichita hospital late Wednesday after she fell into a swimming pool. A little after 9 p.m., the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. was called to the 600 block of Locust in Atlanta for the report of an unresponsive person. It was quickly determined to be a call involving a child, not breathing, who required immediate medical attention.
Winfield Police Chief: Officer who was arrested for DUI no longer with the department
A Winfield Police officer is no longer with the department less than a month after being arrested for DUI and other charges. Lt. Greg Venable’s last day with the department was July 19, according to Police Chief Robbie DeLong. He had been on administrative leave pending an internal investigation into the incident that led to his arrest.
