    Atlantic City man gets 10 years in drugs and stolen gun case

    An Atlantic City man who admitted to running a drug-production facility was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday.

    Nah'Jajuan Ellis, now 21, was arrested Jan. 26, 2023, leaving his home in the 2000 block of Columbia Avenue when police came in with a search warrant.

    Inside they found a 9mm gun reported stolen from Delaware along with various drugs, including unused wax folds stamped with "White House," which had been responsible for several recent overdoses, police said at the time.

    A total of $8,565.00 in United States currency was also seized as drug distribution proceeds.

    Ellis already was on probation in a burglary and eluding case in connection with rioting and looting that happened in Atlantic City in 2020.

    He pleaded guilty in May to first-degree maintaining a controlled dangerous substance production facility, and second-degree charges of possession of heroin and fentanyl with the intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a handgun.

    Nah'jajuan Ellis agreed to detention during a hearing shortly after his arrest in January 2023.


    Must serve at least 3½ years before he is eligible for parole. He has served about a year and a half of that since agreeing to detention at a hearing shortly after his arrest .

    Ellis was sentenced to concurrent prison terms on unrelated cases for charges of obstructing the administration of law and one count of third-degree possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute.

    He was sentenced to five years' probation in March 2021 for burglary and resisting arrest, court records show. He was among 95 people charged in
