The LAC is thrilled to announce the opening of the Red Desert Audubon Art Show on July 26th! This exhibition features stunning artwork inspired by the native Wyoming flora and fauna, created by talented artists from our community.

Concerts in the Park: Light up the night with NightFire
Rock Springs, Wyoming – The Concerts in the Park series continues this week with the musical stylings of NightFire! NightFire is, as the kids say, Straight Outta Lander. Band member Chris Flom provides vocals as well as rhythm and lead guitar. Raine Lesher also sings and plays mandolin, flute, and guitar. They’ve described their style as an “eclectic mix of alt-country, bluegrass, classic rock, and original music.’ They like to call their style “High Desert Grunge-Grass”.

City of Lander Water Tank Project Update
This summer, a major construction project is underway just beyond the Mortimore Lane turn-off near Sinks Canyon. The City of Lander is replacing three failing drinking water storage tanks with a single, modern 4-million-gallon tank. This upgrade will enhance our total water storage capacity by an additional 1 million gallons. Furthermore, the project includes the replacement of an emergency pumping station near the hospital.
Water Main Repairs begin today in Lander
The City of Lander Water Department and Patrick Construction, Inc., are starting a water main replacement project on the 100 block of South 6th Street today due to the damage caused by freezing last winter. Residents in the area should expect a water outage for about a day early in the week while the repair is being made. A notice will be provided to the impacted residents as more details become available.
