Atlantic Cross Country Team Starts Practice on August 12

(Atlantic) The Atlantic Cross Country Team opens practice on August 12. Head Coach Dan Vargason says runners have participated in team runs on Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer. The first practice starts at 7:00 a.m. on August 12.

Coach Vargason says the main goal is to teach his student-athletes how to deal with challenges.

Coach Vargason believes success can be measured in various ways. He highlights the considerable improvement of one of his runners, who showed significant progress from the beginning of her career to the season’s final race.

The Trojans open the season on August 31 at Glenwood. Those interested in joining the team can email Coach Vargason at dvargason@atlantichighschool.org. The high school office is another way to reach out and sign on to run.
