Shooting injures five teens during Pontiac party
Five teen boys were hurt in a shooting on Pontiac’s south side early Friday morning. Injuries to the three 14-year old boys and two 15-year-old boys are not believed to be life threatening according to Oakland County Sheriff’s officials. Four of the boys are from Pontiac. One of the 15-year-olds is an Auburn Hills resident.

Edgewood Country Club hosting 34th GAM Net Team qualifying day
COMMERCE TWP. – Edgewood Country Club’s classic golf course will host the first day of the 34th GAM Net Team Championship presented by Michigan Golf Live on Monday. A field of 80 teams, or 160 golfers, including combinations of men, women and some family duos, will play 18 holes with net four-ball scoring. At least eight teams emerging from play on Monday will advance to the final day of the championship on Sept. 26 at Plum Hollow Country Club in Southfield.
Two Suspects Arrested In Flint Fatal Shooting
A deadly shooting on Flint’s north side Monday night has led to the arrest of two suspects. Police were called to a BP gas station in the 4000 block of Clio Road around 9:30. According to police, a 24-year-old man and an 18-year-old man got into a verbal altercation with two suspects which escalated into a physical fight. Police say someone then pulled a gun and shot the two victims. They were taken to a local hospital where the 24-year-old man died from his injuries. The 18-year-old was listed in good condition.
Missing Michigan Teen Found on Miami Live Stream
One of the biggest miracles on social media just happened after a missing 17-year-old from Michigan popped up on a live stream in Miami, Florida. Troy Coleman, a teen from Mt. Morris Township went missing from Flint, Michigan on May 21st. To make matters worse, Coleman is schizophrenic, which could put him in more danger without his medication. The missing person case was allegedly becoming a death investigation after he was missing for a couple of months with no leads to his whereabouts. Then like magic, many strange moments came together thanks to social media.
Pontiac Tragedy: Lakeisha Arnae Moton and Her Dog Perish in House Fire Amidst Concerns Over Rising Fire-Related Fatalities in Michigan
A house fire in Pontiac claimed the lives of a local woman and her dog last weekend. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office reported that Lakeisha Arnae Moton, 37, was discovered unresponsive in her home on the 600 block of Raskob Street. Deputies and firefighters from the Waterford Regional Fire Department arrived at the scene on Sunday after a friend, who tried and failed to make contact with Moton, alerted authorities. "When deputies arrived, 37-year-old woman Lakeisha Arnae Moton was found unresponsive in the hallway, and was pronounced dead at the scene", detailed WWJ Newsradio.
UPDATE: PA-234 is now open for traffic, said police
HEIDLERSBURG, Pa. — A multi-vehicle crash on State Route 234 is causing traffic backups in Tyrone Township Thursday afternoon. Police and emergency crews are on the scene. There is no word on injuries, but several people are involved. According to officials PA-15 and PA-234 is now open for traffic.

Man's body recovered from Harris Lake in Pontiac
PONTIAC, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man's body was recovered from Harris Lake in Pontiac.Steve Huber, public information officer for the sheriff's office, said authorities were at the lake on Tuesday after they were alerted about the body at 12:30 p.m. Huber told CBS News Detroit that the 38-year-old man was believed to be homeless and they were working to notify the family.It was unclear if the man accidentally drowned or if there was foul play.An autopsy is set for Wednesday.The sheriff's office did not release any additional information.
