A New Atlas Maps Car-Free Progress Around the World
Wroclaw doesn't have a metro, but its extensive bus and tram network places the Polish city near the top of the Atlas of Sustainable City Transport. The first-of-its-kind interactive map tool, which gauges the sustainability and inclusivity of transportation systems in more than 1,000 global cities, ranks Wroclaw second for best resident proximity to frequent transit — behind Prague and ahead of places like London and New York City.

City of Flint bids a fond farewell to City Attorney William Kim
FLINT, Mich.—The City of Flint announced the upcoming departure of City Attorney William Kim today, on June 5, 2024. His resignation is effective July 26. “I wish Attorney Kim the very best in his new position and thank him for his service to the residents of Flint,” Mayor Sheldon Neeley said. “Mr. Kim has helped guide the City of Flint through turbulent times over the past nine years, and I congratulate him on the next step in his career. We continue to cultivate talented individuals at the City of Flint, and I am confident that we will continue to attract top talent, based on the foundation of success laid by our current and former staff.”

In the newsletter below, we’ve got a brief recap of our Level Up Camp. Additionally, we have some information about how to get involved with the NOCC. Level Up Camp 2024 has come to a close! We had a great time with our campers and high school volunteers and are so grateful to Lake Orion Community Schools for allowing us to use Scripps Middle School for our camp. Throughout the camp weeks, we were able to talk to our campers about valuable life skills they’ll use throughout their middle school years and beyond, all while playing games and making friends.
