DENTON (UNT), Texas — Samantha Taylor’s journey into emergency management began amidst the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines a decade ago. “I was visiting family members in the Philippines in 2014 when a world record-breaking typhoon hit and impacted much of the country,” Taylor said. “My mother and I handed out water cases with the American Red Cross before heading back home.”

AUSTIN, Texas — A Texas 10 Most Wanted sex offender is back in custody following his recent arrest in Wyoming, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). Authorities arrested Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Ramiro Manuel Dominguez, 35, on June 27 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Dominguez, who was DPS Featured Fugitive in June 2024, was apprehended after DPS Special Agents from Lubbock coordinated with officers from the Cheyenne Police Department, following a tip received last month. A Crime Stoppers reward will be paid for his arrest.
