Former Ole Miss WR commitment Jerome Myles earns Auburn offer, plans to visit

Four-star wide receiver Jerome Myles, who is ranked the No. 1 overall recruit in Utah, received an offer from Auburn on Thursday.

The offer came three days after Myles de-committed from Ole Miss. He had been committed to the Rebels since April.

“It felt great,” he said. “I was talking to Coach (Marcus) Davis and he told me about it. That was the first time I had talked to him, but he seems like a really good coach. It sounded like he knew what he was talking about. I’m excited to get to know him more.”

Myles, who attends Corner Canyon High School in West Jordan, admittedly doesn’t know much about Auburn. However, he’s not opposed to learning

“I don’t know much, but I am happy to learn,” he said.

Auburn visit in the works for Myles

One way Myles could learn more about Auburn is to visit. Being from Utah, he never has seen Auburn. However, he is already planning to do so.

“I am going out there during the season for one of their games,” he said. “I am going to talk to Coach Davis and get that set up. Auburn, I’m looking forward to learning more about Auburn.”

In addition to Auburn, Myles said he is looking at Michigan, Utah, Ohio State and Miami. He has taken official visits to Ole Miss, Utah and Texas A&M.

He plans to take more visits in the fall and make another commitment later in the process.

“I am pretty open to anything right now,” he said. “I will probably commit around the end of my high school season.”

Myles is listed at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds. The On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, ranks him the No. 14 wide receiver in the country and No. 101 overall recruit.
