Auburn player returns home, organizes youth football camp.

A current University of Auburn defensive end is returning to his high school to help with a football camp, in an effort to prepare future players for the next season and give back to his community.

The Keldric Faulk Youth Football Camp (KF5) is a one-day youth football camp aimed towards first through sixth graders from Highland Home and the surrounding area. The event, slated for July 13, is filled with exercises and activities centered around teaching football skills.

“We are very excited and honored to have Keldric coming to give back to our school and community,” said Justin Bragg, the head coach of Highland Home School. “Keldric has always been a huge supporter of this program and we are more than happy to see him continuing that with his inaugural youth football camp.”

Students will gather at the Clay Jordan Stadium on the school’s campus from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the one-day camp. There, they will take part in team-building events, and football activities such as position drills and speed training.

Additionally, there will be a few surprises during the day which are included with registration, including the opportunity for autographs and photos with Faulk.

“We don’t want to spoil all the surprises, so we included just that in [the post], to not give everything away,” said Meagan White, coordinator for the KF5 football camp.

As a high school student at Highland Home, Faulk had hoped to one day play for the NFL and come back to provide a free camp for the school and surrounding community.

Now as a player for Auburn University, Faulk is realizing his dream after years of work.

“We are beyond excited about this upcoming camp and the chance for our youth to learn from Keldric; he’s been such a positive role model in their lives,” White said. “This camp is truly a dream come true for all of us. “

The event is sponsored by many of Faulk’s college NIL Sponsors including Kilogear Pro, Sports Agency Enterprises and Caddix. With help from the sponsors, registration for KF5 is free for all who wish to join.

To register, students and parents can scan the QR code found on the KF5 flier, which can be found on the Highland Home Flying Squadron Football Facebook page. Registration is free, and there is no limit to the number of attendees permitted.

“Keldric is someone in our community that our boys look up to, and he’s the first one to come back and let our younger ones see that this can be done, that if you put in the hard work, dedication, and you’re a student before you’re an athlete, that your dreams can come true,” White said.
