Auburn recruiting never sleeps. The 2025 class is full-go and we are in “turning point” season. Can the Tigers keep the ball rolling on the recruiting trail, though? They have to. I have six open RPM predictions logged for big Auburn targets. We will update each on how I am feeling about those picks as of today.

These previous predictions for class of 2025 recruits have made their decisions : (12-0 with 2025 recruits)

    • CORRECT (RPM made – 7/31/23) LB – Jakaleb Faulk , 60 percent confidence to Auburn (Committed: Aug. 21)
    • CORRECT : (RPM made – 11/12/23) TE – Ryan Ghea , 60 percent confidence to Auburn (Committed: 11/12/23)

    • CORRECT : (RPM made – 6/12/23) RB – Alvin Henderson , 60 percent confidence to Auburn (Committed to Auburn: 6/21/24)
    • CORRECT : (RPM made – 4/7/24) CB – Dante Core , 60 percent confidence to Auburn (Committed: 5/18/24)

    • CORRECT : (RPM made – 10/20/23) S – Eric Winters , 60 percent confidence to Auburn (Committed: 6/15/24)
    • CORRECT : (RPM made – 3/31/24) OL – Jacobe Ward , 60 percent confidence to Auburn (Committed 7/6/24)
    • CORRECT : (RPM made – 7/1/24) TE – Hollis Davidson , 60 percent confidence to Auburn (Committed: 7/4/24)

    **NEW PICK

    — I have logged a pick for Auburn to land 2026 linebacker Shadarius Toodle from Mobile, Ala., Cottage Hill. Toodle’s dad is very vocal on social media about Auburn, but I wanted to make sure the Tigers were ready to take Toodle before making the pick. At this point, it seems Auburn is ready to take him and soon.

    Potential Picks

    — (7/19/24) For a while we have contemplated what Derick Smith will play in college. He has been recruited as a wide receiver and defensive back by different schools. For Alabama, both positions are on the table, but defensive back is preferred. For Auburn, Smith is a receiver. At some point, we wondered if this would be a factor in his recruitment. I think Auburn made a big move on the official visit and has surged a bit since then. I probably won’t put in a flip pick for Smith, but it is one I’d consider.

    — (7/12/24) Auburn has Alvin Henderson in the boat. Now, there will be a push to fill the other running back spot. Right now, it is clear that 4-star Ousmane Kromah is at the top of the running back board. Auburn is battling Georgia and Florida State, but has a shot. This would be a tough pick to make right now, but Auburn is making a push and is expected to get him to Big Cat Weekend.

**After the Big Cat Weekend dust settles, Auburn very well could have several of its top targets committed. If that is the case, the Tigers will be able to go into the season with the main focus being on flipping top targets committed elsewhere. Auburn is in good position to make big runs at targets committed elsewhere and is on the verge of a hot start with the 2026 class.

Edge – Jared Smith , Hoover (Ala.) Thompson

    PICK : Auburn – 60% confidence, 7/12/24

    FEELING: GREAT

WHY THE PICK WAS MADE : Smith has been on the radar for Auburn for a while, but it ramped up when the Tigers saw him in spring practice. From our intel, it seems Smith has made big strides since last football season. Now, Auburn is all in on Smith and pushing for him. I think Auburn has risen to the top of his list, or at least trending that way. I like Auburn to land his commitment on Aug. 3.

NEW UPDATE : Auburn is the school with the most buzz around Smith at this time. His commitment is quickly approaching. According to our intel, this is not a done deal, but a strong Big Cat visit could close the deal. South Carolina and Ole Miss continue to be the biggest threats to Auburn.

CB – Blake Woodby , Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy

    PICK : Auburn – 60% confidence, 6/10/24

    FEELING : Great -> EXCELLENT

WHY THE PICK WAS MADE : Woodby visited Auburn in the spring, officially visited, then came back to camp. His interest has been real.

NEW UPDATE : We have moved the confidence up and down a few times. Going into Big Cat Weekend, we feel excellent about Woodby. There is some recruiting heat from in-state Maryland, but Auburn is in great position to outlast that and add Woodby to the fold soon.

Saf. – Anquon Fegans , Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson

    PICK : Auburn – 60% confidence, 4/8/24

    FEELING : EXCELLENT

WHY THE PICK WAS MADE : Auburn Live’s Jeffrey Lee already had a prediction in, so I joined him. I like where Auburn sits with Fegans and have for a while. Then, I talked to three different sources who all echoed some confidence that Auburn was number one here. In fact, they couldn’t all decide on a clear number two in this race. I like Auburn to win out here as of right now.

NEW UPDATE : Fegans will take a visit to LSU, then Auburn for Big Cat Weekend. When a recruit takes last minute visits, it is something to monitor closely. In this situation, we will keep an eye on the LSU visit, but Auburn remains to be in the best shape to land Fegans. He will announce his decision on Monday, July 29.

2026 LB – JaMichael Garrett , Gulf Shores (Ala.)

    PICK : Auburn – 60% confidence, 3/17/24

    FEELING : GREAT

WHY THE PICK WAS MADE : Garrett visited Auburn in the first week of February and again in March. He always talks highly of Auburn and seems to have a great connection with several coaches there. He is a high priority for the Tigers at linebacker in 2026. Right now, it feels like Auburn is the team to beat, even as he has taken other visits to Alabama and LSU among others.

UPDATE (7/19/24): I think I went against my gut feel/better judgement with Garrett for while. He has been visiting Auburn frequently since the winter–at times popping in unannounced. Garrett has been visiting LSU frequently, too. I think this is a bigger deal than we may have thought. He is highly wanted by both Tigers. Having said this, I have not heard anything that leads me to change my pick with Auburn. I think Garrett will choose Auburn if he follows through with a commitment near the end of July.

2026 Edge – Hezekiah Harris , Huntsville (Ala.) Jemison

    PICK : Auburn – 60% confidence, 4/9/24

    FEELING : EXCELLENT

WHY THE PICK WAS MADE : This is a gut feeling pick. I have been seeing Harris visit Auburn since he was in the eighth grade. While Harris is a one-word answer kind of guy in interviews, he did say Auburn was his leader “probably.” We think so, too. Clemson is the biggest threat to Auburn right now, but we expect Harris to pick Auburn when he decides, which should be very soon. Maybe before April is over.

(7/12/24) UPDATE : Harris has been on the cusp of committing to Auburn for a while it seems. Auburn Live recently spoke to a source that felt great about Auburn’s positioning with Harris. I think this one could see a resolution around the time of Big Cat Weekend.
