Auburn lands commitment from LB JaMichael Garrett

Auburn football prides itself in holding one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the offseason, Big Cat Weekend. This year’s festivities are on track to be just as big as years past, and the Tigers are earning solid commitments left and right.

One of those commitments comes from four-star linebacker JaMichael Garrett, who pledges his talents to the Plains over LSU and USC.

Auburn has been in a comfortable position to land Garrett for a while leading up to this weekend. He visited the Plains on June 1 and was at LSU just days ago.

The Gulf Shores High School (Alabama) product was a key component of the Dolphins’ 2023 Class 5A state title victory, racking up 87 tackles, 26.5 tackles-for-loss and 9.5 sacks on the year.

According to the On3 industry ranking, Garrett is the No. 124 player in the nation and the No. 11 linebacker. He is also No. 8 in the state of Alabama.

Garrett is one of three 2026 commitments for the Tigers this weekend along with EDGE Hezekiah Harris and linebacker Shadarius Toodle. They combine to help Auburn reach No. 1 in the recruiting rankings in that 2026 class.
