Capitol Theatre in downtown Bowling Green under renovation
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Staff at the Capitol Theatre in Bowling Green are using a break in scheduling to give the space some noticeable improvements. Crews are hard at work, and they have removed 500 seats to do a floor cleaning, resurfacing and repainting project, according to the Warren County Public Library.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU men’s basketball has announced its finalized coaching staff for the upcoming 2024-25 season, as made official by head coach Hank Plona on Friday. Hilltopper Basketball will enter the 2024-25 season coming off a highly successful 2023-24 campaign that saw the Tops secure the Conference USA Tournament title and earn an automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Entering his first season as head coach on The Hill, Plona served as an assistant for the Tops a season ago and proved vital to the Hilltoppers’ success on the court.
Kentucky State Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting in Graves County
MAYFIELD, Ky. (August 16, 2024) – The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been requested by the Graves County Sherriff’s Office and the Mayfield Police Department to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Mayfield on Thursday, August 15 at approximately 10:00 p.m. CST at a hotel on Housman St. CIRT detectives arrived on the scene and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

Beacon Center files lawsuit against exempt employee salary threshold change
(The Center Square) – Beacon Center has filed a lawsuit, on behalf of the Association of Christian Schools International, to fight a new U.S. Department of Labor overtime rule that would require anyone making less than $58,000 per year as an hourly, non-exempt employee.
