Pocatello Fourth of July parade highlights Bannock County’s many celebrations
POCATELLO — Pocatello’s Independence Day Celebration will begin Thursday morning with the annual parade through Historic Old Town Pocatello. The “Star Spangled Celebration” parade is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at the corner of Main Street and West Fremont Street. It will loop around West Sublette Street onto North Arthur Avenue before taking West Bonneville Street back to Main Street, finishing where it started.

Riverton Council approves $240K in Community Service Contracts
(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council approved funding agreements for eight community organizations totaling $240,000 at its July 2 meeting. The funds come from direct distribution money the city receives annually from the state of Wyoming. In fiscal year 2024, which ended June 30, the council had approved $275,000 for 13 community organizations.
Natrona County is Now Under Stage One Fire Restrictions
As of today, the Natrona County Comissioners have put Stage One Fire Restrictions in place. This due to increasingly warm temperatures, dry fuels, and Wyoming's famous wind. This is not a Fire Ban. This Fire Restriction will remain in effect until further notice. All burn permits are suspended, and no new burn permits will be issued until the restrictions are lifted.

Texas 10 Most Wanted Offender Ramiro Dominguez Captured in Cheyenne, Vigilant Public Aid Key to Arrest
In a collaborative stroke of justice, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced the arrest of Ramiro Manuel Dominguez, a Texas 10 Most Wanted sex offender, in Cheyenne, Wyoming on June 27. Dominguez had climbed the list of most sought-after offenders following a December 2023 warrant issued for his failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. He was previously convicted in 2012 for first-degree rape involving a 10-year-old girl, an offense for which he was sentenced to 8 years confinement. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the capture was fueled by tips received, leading DPS Special Agents from Lubbock to join forces with officers from the Cheyenne Police Department to apprehend Dominguez.
