Man killed in shooting on Warren Street in Augusta

One person is dead after a shooting Tuesday morning on Warren Street in Augusta.

Ceon Ulmer, 38, of Augusta, was pronounced dead at the scene, just before 6:15 a.m., according to the Richmond County Coroner's Office.

Just before 5:15 a.m., Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 1800 block of Warren Street for shots fired with one person down, according to a news release.

When deputies arrived, they found Ulmer outside of a home with at least one gunshot wound, according to the release.

"The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time," according to the sheriff's office.
