    Shots fired at Augusta Mall, shuts down mall

    AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – According to Augusta dispatch, shots have been fired at Augusta Mall at 3450 Wrightsboro Road.

    According to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputy, the shooting was targeted. There is not an active shooter.

    One male was shot at least once and was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

    Police, fire and EMS units are in route and investigators are on the scene.

    The initial call came in to dispatch at 3:38 p.m. on Thursday, July 4.
