14-year-old girl dies in shooting at party in Aurora park

DENVER (KDVR) — Police in Aurora said a 14-year-old girl died in a shooting at a party in an Aurora park. The party was attended by numerous minors, according to police.

Two others, another 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl were also injured. All three were taken to a local hospital.

Police said they are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

According to police, there was a fight at the party that ended in a shooting.

The shooting happened in the 1400 block of South Uruvan Street around 9:15 p.m.

Three victims in total were taken to local hospitals. One of those victims sustained life-threatening injuries.

No arrests had been made as of Sunday morning, but police said the investigation showed the incident was isolated and that there was no threat to the general public.
