    3 hurt after shooting in Aurora early Sunday

    DENVER (KDVR) — The Aurora Police Department was on the scene of a shooting early Sunday morning. Three people in total were hurt, including two who suffered gunshot wounds.

    The shooting happened in the 1500 block of North Nome Street around 4:30 a.m.

    As of 9 a.m., one person had been detained, but their involvement was unclear and police were still searching for additional suspects.

    Police told FOX31 that an apartment building had been evacuated for safety reasons.

    Two people were taken to a local hospital with gunshot wounds while one was taken with a broken ankle.

    One of the two men who were shot suffered life-threatening injuries, while the other person shot had serious injuries.

    All three victims were adult males.

    There was no suspect information available, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not known.
