    Watch Westlake vs. Prosper on NFHS: Texas, Texas A&M recruits star in UIL football clash

    A Central Texas high school football power will face off against one of the best schools in North Texas on Thursday, and fans can stream it live.

    Westlake football, the No. 1 team in our preseason countdown, is traveling to Belton for matchup with Prosper, another 6A powerhouse that went 11-2 last year with a deep run in the state playoffs. The game will be played at 7 p.m. on Mary Hardin-Baylor's campus.

    SEC and Big Ten football fans can also see some Texas football , Michigan football and Alabama football recruiting targets live in action.

    How to watch Westlake football vs. Prosper

    At the end of last season, MaxPreps had the Westlake Chaparrals ranked as its No. 9 team and the Prosper Eagles ranked No. 15. Each team figures to be a playoff contender, fielding several future Division I players.

    You can livestream the game on the NFHS Network or watch a replay of the game on demand.

    Those outside of Texas should have plenty of interest in the game as well.

    Westlake college football recruits

    Westlake players have committed to Duke and Air Force, such as Elliott Schaper and Connor Vasek.

    Elliott Schaper, Duke class of 2025

    The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Schaper pledged with the Blue Devils in June. He is a three-star linebacker and was our Central Texas defensive player of the year in 2023 . Cal, Arizona and Arizona State were among his suitors.

    Connor Vasek, Air Force class of 2025

    Vasek — a 6-4, 230-pound prosect — committed to Air Force earlier this month. The three-star edge's offer sheet included Princeton, Penn, Navy, UNLV, Montana and SMU.

    Prosper college football recruits

    Prosper has several players who will suit up for Power Four or Group of Five teams, including a few four-star prospects such as Sean Stover, Zaden Krempin and Bryce Gilmore.

    Logan Cahill, Sam Houston State class of 2025

    Duke, Pitt and Lamar also offered him a scholarship but the 6-3, 285-pound lineman in June committed to staying in Texas. He's a three-star prospect.

    Connor Carty, Texas A&M class of 2025

    Carty is ranked the No. 27 interior offensive lineman in the country for 2025 by the 247Sports Composite. He's a three-star prospect listed at 6-4 and 290 pounds. Texas, LSU, USC, Utah, Penn State and Oregon were among the dozen-plus Power Four programs that offered him a scholarship.

    Bryce Gilmore, Oregon recruit class of 2026

    Gilmore, a tackle listed at 6-4, 270 pounds, is a four-star recruit and a top-40 prospect in Texas for his class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He's ranked the No. 18 tackle nationally in his class and is fielding offers from Texas Tech, Washington, Ole Miss, Oregon and Utah, among others.

    Zaden Kremplin, Texas recruit class of 2026

    The 6-5, 270-pound tackle is a four-star recruit and a top-20 prospect in Texas for his class, according to the 247Sports Composite. 247 ranks him the No. 11 interior lineman in his class nationally. He's uncommitted, but Kremplin is being recruited by Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Penn State, and just about every other school used to the top 25 rankings.

    Sean Stover, Oregon recruit class of 2026

    Another four-star recruit along the Prosper offensive line, Stover is listed at 6-2, 275 pounds. He's a top-40 prospect and the No. 21 interior lineman of his class, per 247. Besides Oregon, Texas Tech, Penn State, Duke and Pitt have offered Stover a scholarship
