Texas crash leaves one dead, two injured after vehicle rolls over
COOKE COUNTY, Texas — A single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning resulted in one fatality and two injuries, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. The incident occurred at approximately 12:25 a.m. on July 28, 2024, at the intersection of Kirby Road and Phillips Street. A 2016 Can-AM Maverick, driven by 23-year-old Caitey Nicole Sawyer, of Leonard, Texas, was traveling northbound on Kirby Road when it disregarded a stop sign, drove through a T-intersection, crashed through a fence, and rolled over. All occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
Allen police respond to burglaries
The Allen Police Department responded to incidents of burglaries between July 22 and July 28, according to communitycrimemap.com. A commercial burglary was reported for 5:30 a.m. July 23 in the 900 block of State Highway 121. A residential burglary was reported for 6 p.m. July 24 in the 1500 block of Mayflower Drive.
