ONLYFANS model and alleged killer Courtney Clenney looked unrecognizable as she appeared in court just days after her parents were arrested.
Clenney was in court on Thursday as the prosecution called for information from her attorneys regarding the arrests of Kim and Deborah Clenney.
The parents were taken into custody on Tuesday from their home in Austin, Texas, on a warrant out of Miami, Florida, in connection to a laptop belonging to Christian Obumseli.
Clenney is accused of brutally stabbing Obumseli to death after an argument at the couple's luxury Miami condo in April 2022.
She pleaded not guilty to a charge of second-degree murder with a weapon, claiming that she was defending herself from Obumseli's alleged abuse.
Clenney had her hair in loose curls as she sat with her lawyers in the courtroom, appearing a much darker brown than the light blonde it was before her arrest.
She wore a prison jumpsuit with her hands in cuffs.
Clenney's father, Kim, 60, entered the couple's apartment to clear out his daughter's things when he allegedly took a laptop that belonged to Obumseli, read court documents.
The laptop contained Obumseli's iCloud account, which had access to his documents, photos, notes, and contacts.
It hadn't been taken by police when they swept the apartment for evidence.
Court documents allege that Kim tried to access the laptop before handing it over to the attorneys representing Obumseli's family.
He and his wife Deborah, 57, were charged with unauthorized or excessive access to a computer, computer system, or electronic device.
Courtney is now also facing computer crime charges, according to a complaint affidavit.
"We believe the Clenney family has been targeted with some trumped up charges to discredit them in the press and make their lives miserable," said Clenney's attorney, Frank Prieto in a statement.
"It stinks of a power play by prosecutors to control the narrative. This Thursday, the State is seeking a gag order in the case. Now they’ve gone after Courtney’s Mom and Dad in such a way that requires them to spend considerable time in jail without bond."
'TOXIC' RELATIONSHIP
Kim Clenney testified during his daughter's bond hearing in November 2022, claiming that Courtney had suffered mistreatment at the hands of Obumseli.
He went on to call the couple's relationship "toxic."
"There were many things that a father who loves his daughter very deeply shouldn’t have to put up with," said Kim.
A newly released video showed Courtney and Obumseli arguing in Aspen, Colorado weeks before his death.
The footage was released by the Obumseli family's attorney this month, showing Courtney hitting her boyfriend.
It's unclear what started the argument but the three-minute clip shows Courtney accusing Obumseli of flirting with other women, adding that she hasn't been sober for two weeks.
"And now why am I not sober? Because of you," she said.
The footage shows Courtney repeatedly lashing out at Obumseli, who tries to dodge her hits.
"Christian, you're fired," Courtney said.
"Fine. I'm fired? You will never see me again," said Obumseli. "You are the most selfish motherf**ker I ever met in my life."
The video ends with Clenney yelling at Obumseli to get out and saying, "I never want to see you again."
BRUTAL KILLING
Weeks later, on April 3, 2022, Obumseli was fatally at the couple's apartment.
Clenney called 911 around 5 pm and police rushed to the condo where Obumseli was found with a stab wound to the shoulder.
He was taken to the hospital but he later succumbed to his injuries.
Crime scene photos showed the apartment covered in blood.
Clenney was also photographed after the death by the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Her sweatpants were caked in blood and her makeup ran down her face.
A mutual friend of the couple told a local ABC affiliate that intense arguments were the norm.
"We’ve seen her hit him," Ashley Vaughn claimed. "I’ve never seen him hit her."
Clenney was arrested in August 2022 and has remained in jail without bond while awaiting trial.
