The 2024 CMT Music Awards were held on Sunday night, bringing together the biggest stars of country music to celebrate top music videos and TV performances. Kelsea Ballerini hosted the show for the fourth time.
Leading the nominations were Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, Cody Johnson, and Jelly Roll, with each receiving three nods. Jelly Roll won in all the categories he was nominated in.
The winners of the awards were chosen solely through fan votes, with voting for the Video of the Year ongoing throughout the show. The list of 16 nominees was trimmed to six on April 1, based on votes. The final three nominees, Johnson, Jelly Roll, and Ballerini, were announced on the day of the event.
The ceremony took place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, and was broadcast on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+. If you missed the event, CMT will be airing an encore of the 2024 CMT Music Awards on Thursday, April 11, at 7:00 PM ET/PT.
