Investigation underway after body found in Lady Bird Lake Saturday morning

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- An investigation is underway after a body was found floating in Lady Bird Lake Saturday morning.

According to Austin Police, a fisherman found a person floating in the water around 7:40 a.m. Saturday morning. First responders were called to the scene near Longhorn Shores, just upstream from Longhorn Dam and South Pleasant Valley Road.

That person, who has not been identified, was pronounced deceased on the scene at 7:52 a.m., according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

APD said investigators are working the case, but so far the incident is not being treated as a homicide.
