Audacy launches "Austin's 95.9 Texas Country" on-air, online

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Central Texas has a new home for classic country and Texas music on the radio, with Audacy launching Austin's 95.9 Texas Country Friday afternoon.

The station, which can be heard on 95.9 FM, on HD Radio at 95.5 HD3, and online on the free Audacy app, will play music from artists including George Strait, Willie Nelson, Waylon & the Boys, Aaron Watson, Cody Johnson, Kacey Musgraves and Cody Jinks.

“We’re delighted to launch Austin’s 95.9 Texas Country and continue delivering this wildly popular format to listeners on the FM dial,” said Doug Abernethy, Audacy's Regional President. “This station will offer the perfect blend of genre classics and the music shaping the Country music industry today.”

Abernethy says additional announcements about on-air staff and other programming will be made in the coming weeks.

In the Austin market, Audacy also operates Talk 1370, Mix 94.7, and Majic 95.5.
