    Texas Land Commissioner launches Adopt-A-Beach program t-shirt campaign in July

    AUSTIN - Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham has announced a t-shirt campaign for the Adopt-A-Beach program.

    You can get these shirts during the month of July for $35 each. Each purchase will help fund beach cleanups and educational programs to help the community learn about marine debris. The $35 donation will also give you access to the e-newsletter, Adopt-A-Beach Children's Art Contest Calendar, and an exclusive membership decal.

    The next beach cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

    You can sign up to volunteer for the cleanup.

    Here are some beaches near the Crossroads where you can volunteer:

    Magnolia Beach/Indianola

    Check-in: Miller's Point Pavilion, off Miller's Point Road & Ocean Drive

    King Fisher Beach/Port O'Connor

    Check-in: Pavilion at King Fisher Beach

    Palacios - Matagorda County

    Check-in: South Bay Marina off South Bay Blvd.

    Matagorda Beach

    Check-in: Matagorda Jetty Park

    Sargent Beach

    Check-in: County Park: 457 & C.R. 230 (Canal Dr)
