This fall, Texas catcher Nik Sanders won't just be focused on baseball.

Sanders has been added to the roster of the Texas football team. He's currently listed as a 6-foot-2, 215-pound freshman running back on the team's website. He has been assigned the No. 31 jersey.

On Monday, Sanders posted a picture on social media of his new football locker and wrote, "Let’s get it @TexasFootball."

Sanders played football in high school at both Waco University and Waco La Vega. This past baseball season, he was Texas' designated hitter in the season opener but found playing time hard to find; he appeared in only nine games and hit .056 in his 18 at-bats.

Texas football will open its fall practices on Wednesday. Sanders is one of eight running backs on the roster .
