    Texas swimmer wins silver at 2024 Paris Olympics as part of relay team

    Drew Kibler joined fellow Texas swimmers Nic Fink, Simone Manuel and Carson Foster on the medal podium when he won silver in the men’s 4x200 meter freestyle relay on Tuesday at the 2024 Paris Olympics

    Kibler’s relay team consisted of Luke Hobson, Carson Foster and Kieran Smith who finished with a time of 7:00.78 which was approximately 1.5 seconds behind gold medal winners Great Britain who clocked in at 6:59.43.

    Australia finished 1.2 seconds behind the U.S. team to secure the bronze.

    Kibler was the third leg on the relay team and trailed only Matthew Richards of Great Britain, a 200-meter individual silver medalist, once the Texas swimmer finished his leg.

    Kibler attends the University of Texas where he swims collegiality and has won five national championships.
