Alabama state representative arrested on felony fraud-related charges
An Alabama state representative has been arrested by the Alabama Attorney General’s office on felony fraud-related charges. Kelvin Jamichael Lawrence, 50, a resident of Lowndes County, was charged with forgery in the second degree and with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, said Attorney General Steve Marshall. The indictment alleges that Lawrence, with the intent to defraud, falsely made, completed or altered a builder’s license.

Autauga County Crash claims life of Center Point man
MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:25 a.m. Monday, July 8, has claimed the life of a Center Point man. William G. Donaldson, 58, was fatally injured when the 1990 Ford Ranger pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Donaldson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Autauga County 57 near Valleyview Road, approximately three miles north of Prattville, in Autauga County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
