Significant rockfall shuts down State Route 7 at Mingo Junction, repairs underway
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — A significant rockfall has closed State Route 7 at Mingo Junction for the foreseeable future. Crews will be working around the clock to remove the rock and restore the work zone. Additionally, pavement repairs that may be needed will be completed prior to reopening the road.

Peters Township football stadium turf gets replaced
Work is underway at Peters Township’s high school stadium to replace the turf as a new school year approaches. The Peters Township board of school directors approved the project in February. The field is being outfitted with the “Game On Turf System” from Shaw Sports Turf. The work is costing the district $507,200.
