Local police officers make arrests
AUBURN — Police made these arrests July 16-17, according to DeKalb County Jail records. Joshua Brown, 27, of the 6300 block North, C.R. 500 North, Angola, was arrested at 2:32 p.m. July 16 by Auburn Police on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated as a Class A and Class C misdemeanor; and leaving the scene of an accident, a Class B misdemeanor. Brown posted $700 cash bond to be released at 8:48 p.m. July 16.

Churubusco Man Charged For Unlawful Possession Of Firearm
WARSAW — Two men are facing charges after a traffic stop resulted in the discovery of unlawful possession of a firearm and marijuana. Zachary Joel Sparks-Starr, 28, 4390 N. 800E, Churubusco, is charged with unlawful carrying of a handgun as a convicted felon, a level 5 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, a class A misdemeanor.
