Denver Foundation invites applications for Lowe Fund
A field of interest fund of the Denver Foundation, the Lowe Fund aims to support nonprofits that serve individuals with developmental disabilities. Through the fund, grants ranging between $10,000 and $50,000 will be awarded in support of nonprofits in Colorado that support training, education, and research into the causes, cures, and treatment of cerebral palsy, developmental disabilities, and other nervous and muscular diseases and disorders. Organizations that provide systems-level advocacy, including legal advocacy, are eligible to apply for funding. Organizations in rural areas are encouraged to apply.

Local food pantry looking for support from the community
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Food Pantry Crossfire Ministries says the number of families coming through their doors each day has nearly doubled in the past year. According to Crossfire, in 2023 they saw an average of about 250-300 families per day and now that number has shot up to nearly 450-500 families. In addition, they are no longer receiving COVID-19 relief funds that paid for the bulk of the food they were distributing.
