    Your 2024 NFL season broadcast primer

    The 2024 NFL season is set for lots of broadcasting changes.

    From Tom Brady taking over as Fox’s lead analyst to Matt Ryan moving to a studio role with The NFL Today , Christmas Day games on Netflix, and Amazon landing a playoff game for Prime Video, there’s a lot to talk about in terms of broadcasters, platforms, and more.

    Here’s a breakdown of each network’s broadcasting plans, including featured games, announcers, studio shows, and more.

    NFL ON FOX – SUPER BOWL LIX

    Fox will broadcast Super Bowl LIX on February 2025 at the Superdome in New Orleans. They’ll air primarily NFC games with a select number of AFC games and will be scheduled for ten national doubleheaders. They will air four playoff games, including the NFC championship and the Super Bowl.

    Tom Brady will join Kevin Burkhardt as Fox’s new lead analyst. The NFL on Fox can be streamed on all Fox Sports streaming platforms.

    CBS will air mostly AFC games in 2024 but with a greater selection of NFC games on national broadcasts than in the past. They are scheduled for 10 national doubleheaders and four playoff games, including the AFC championship.

    Matt Ryan joins a revamped cast of The NFL Today , while JJ Watt returns to the show full-time. The NFL on CBS can be streamed on Paramount+ and all CBS Sports streaming platforms.

    NBC will broadcast 23 NFL games, including 18 broadcasts of Sunday Night Football.

    They will also air three additional games, including the Kickoff Classic (Ravens-Chiefs), the Thanksgiving Classic (Dolphins-Packers), and a Saturday game in Week 16 (Steelers-Ravens). They’ll air two postseason games, one Wild Card game, and a Divisional Playoff game. Peacock will air all NFL games on NBC and stream one exclusive game from Brazil (Week 1, Packers-Eagles).

    Flexible scheduling is again in play for Sunday Night Football . SNF flex schedule may be used for up to two games between Weeks 5-10 and at the NFL’s discretion on Weeks 11-17. Week 18 is reserved for the game with the most decisive playoff implications.

    Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, and Melissa Stark return as the lead broadcast team for SNF.

    Sunday Night Football and NFL on NBC games can be streamed on Peacock and all other NBC Sports platforms.

    ESPN – Monday Night Football

    ESPN will air 25 NFL games, including 21 Monday Night Football games, this year. In select weeks, different MNF games will air simultaneously on ABC, while in other weeks, ABC simulcasts of the ESPN game will be available. ESPN+ will stream select games on ABC and one exclusive game (Week 7, Chargers-Cardinals).

    ESPN will air two playoff games, including a Monday Night Wild Card game and a Divisional Playoff game. Both postseason games will be simulcasted on ABC.

    Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Lisa Salters return as the lead broadcast team for MNF. Mike Greenberg is the new host of Sunday NFL Countdown . Jason Kelce , a new Monday Night Countdown analyst, will join Scott Van Pelt and Ryan Clark during halftime.

    The ManningCast with Peyton and Eli Manning will return for 11 dates and be joined by former coach Bill Belichick for the first half of every appearance. Belichick will also join Peyton Manning on The Breakdown with Peyton and Belichick previewing Monday Night Football, which will air on ESPN+ and ESPN2. He will also appear on The Pat McAfee Show .

    MNF will have flex scheduling after Week 12 and will flex two games to Saturday on the final week of the season.

    ESPN Radio will air select games, including doubleheaders every Sunday afternoon.

    Monday Night Football and other NFL on ESPN games can be streamed on authentication-required ESPN streaming platforms, with select games also on ESPN+.

    Prime Video – Thursday Night Football

    Amazon’s Prime Video service will stream 16 Thursday Night Football games beginning the season’s second week. They will air a special Black Friday game after Thanksgiving Day. Prime will have exclusive streaming coverage of one Wild Card Playoff game.

    TNF will have limited flex scheduling. Two games may be flexed between Weeks 13 and 17 with 28 days’ notice.

    Al Michaels, Kirk Herbstreit, and Kaylee Hartung return as the lead broadcast team for TNF.

    Prime will have several alternative streams, including a Spanish-language alternative, a scouting panel, and an entertainment broadcast featuring LeBron James.

    NFL Network produces daily programming, including news, previews, and highlights. They will air four International games this year and a Week 17 Tripleheader. NFL GameDay Morning is the main pregame show airing every NFL Sunday morning. It is followed by several studio programs airing highlights and analysis throughout the day.

    Good Morning Football returns from Los Angeles this year. The show will be split into two hours on NFL Network and a two-hour Good Morning Football: Overtime syndicated/Roku Channel show.

    NFL Network games can be streamed on all NFL platforms, including NFL+.

    Westwood One: The radio home of all NFL prime-time games and the NFL Postseason, including Super Bowl LIX. Kevin Harlan and Kurt Warner lead Monday Night Football and the Super Bowl broadcast team.

    Compass Media: Airs up to two weekly games on Sunday afternoons. Compass also airs national broadcasts of the Dallas Cowboys and the Las Vegas Raiders.

    ESPN Radio: Airs up to two weekly games on Sunday afternoons.

    Sports USA: Airs weekly doubleheaders every Sunday afternoon.

    Entravision: The exclusive Spanish-language radio broadcast for Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, and the entire NFL Postseason.

    Additional NFL platforms and programs:

    NFL+: The NFL’s exclusive subscription app offers direct-to-consumer streaming access to all NFL platforms. The premium package provides access to NFL Network, NFL RedZone, and live NFL games, including local, primetime regular season, and postseason games.

    NFL Sunday Ticket: Streaming coverage of all out-of-market Sunday NFL games is available exclusively on YouTube TV. Verizon Premium customers are offered NFL Sunday Ticket free. Direct TV’s Business Services provides Sunday Ticket to commercial businesses.

    NFL RedZone: The NFL Sunday afternoon whip-around show will be available through streaming, cable, and satellite providers. Coverage ends at 8 p.m. or when the national game is the sole remaining broadcast for the afternoon.

    Inside The NFL : Entering its 48th season, Inside the NFL will move to Friday nights on the CW Network throughout the season and will become a preview show for the week ahead. Bill Belichick joins the show this fall alongside Ryan Clark, Chad Johnson, and Chris Long.

    Hard Knocks : Hard Knocks: In Season with the AFC North will document the battle for the AFC North during the final six weeks of the NFL season, featuring Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. It will air on HBO and stream on Max beginning December 3.
