SocialBites "food hub" opens in Sandy Springs

Food halls, make way for food hubs.

Why it matters: SocialBites, a new fast-casual concept that swaps out endless rows of food stalls for a kiosk-first approach, is expected to open today in Sandy Springs.

How it works: Instead of splitting up from their friends to roam around several stalls, SocialBites customers order their meals from one of five Experiential Brands restaurants from a single point-of-sale station or kiosk.

• Diners take a seat and wait for a server to bring drinks and their food.
• The concept includes three patios, including an exclusive upstairs space, and programming like trivia, bingo, karaoke, and live music.

Zoom in: Diners can pick from The Original Hot Chicken, INKED Tacos, Flametown Burgers and Pinsa Roman Pizza. The BarSocial, a full bar serving "craft cocktails, wine, beer, boozy milkshakes, and other libations."
