    What's happening in Chicago during Labor Day weekend

    This weekend, watch the Labor Day parade or enjoy live music at the Arc, North Coast or Jazz Festival.


    1. 🎉 Labor Day parade

    Chicago's historic Pullman neighborhood will host the Labor Day Parade and Eddie Fest this weekend.

    Why it matters: One of the most consequential events of the American labor movement — the Pullman Strike — took place in the neighborhood in the late 19th century.

    What to expect: Nearly 100 floats from unions, businesses, elected officials and community organizations will ride down South Cottage Grove Avenue. Route

    • After the parade is Eddie Fest , which will feature live music, food and artisan vendors, bounce houses and activities for kids.

    When: Parade steps off at noon Saturday. Eddie Fest goes until 4pm.
