Weekend events in Nashville: Dance music festival, bookstore romance day

Here are some of the big events taking place in Nashville this weekend.

💞 Bookstore Romance Day: Parnassus Books is one of the local bookstores celebrating love Saturday with special programming , including a "Bridgerton"-inflected piano concert and tarot card readings.

• Novelette will have discounts on its romance reads.

🍿 Movie night(s): It's a busy weekend for movie lovers at The Belcourt . The Hillsboro Village theater will host showings of nostalgic classics including "The Big Lebowski," "Purple Rain," "Clue," "Lady and the Tramp" and "Best in Show."

• A collection of short films from the Sundance Film Festival will also be playing at The Belcourt through Thursday.

💃 Dancing in the park: The two-day dance music festival Deep Tropics starts Friday at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

• Axios editor Emma Way tells us the lineup includes a wide range of dance genres including "deep house and progressive house" music. Some of the biggest names on the bill are Kaskade and Sofi Tukker.
• The party will continue with late-night shows at Cannery Hall and Night We Met.

🍽️ Caribbean celebration: The Music City Jerk Fest at Music City Walk of Fame Park will feature live entertainment and Jamaican and Caribbean food vendors.
