The Agenda: Construction projects in Bentonville, Rogers

On deck at your local city council meetings tonight:

Bentonville will vote on:

• Accepting a $32.5 million grant from the Walton Family Foundation to build the 8th Street Gateway Park and approving a contract for about $38 million for its construction.

• Purchasing property at 221 S. Main St. from the county for $4.65 million for the Quilt of Parks project.
• A contract worth about $22 million with Flintco to build the Bentonville Adult Recreation Center .

Rogers will vote on:

• Allotting $750,000 for design and pre-construction services for a new fire station at Olive Street Park and entering into an agreement with Buf Architecture for architectural services.
