The Utah Jazz already unveiled their new uniforms and on Thursday the NBA revealed the upcoming season's schedule.

State of play: The Western Conference will once again be a gauntlet for Utah to traverse if the team hopes to get to the playoffs for the first time in three years.

Zoom in: The Jazz open the season with two home games against the Memphis Grizzlies (Oct. 13) and Golden State Warriors (Oct. 25).

    • Their first road game comes against the defending Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 28.

Fun fact: They say basketball is a game of runs and that will be true throughout the season as the Jazz follow lengthy road trips with fortuitous home stands.

    • From Nov. 23- Dec. 1 Utah has five consecutive home games which will see them take on Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs (Nov. 26), Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets (Nov. 27) and LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (Dec. 1).
    • That's followed by a seven-game road trip from Dec. 3 - Dec. 26 which starts in Oklahoma City against the Thunder before heading east to take on the Detroit Pistons (Dec. 19), Brooklyn Nets (Dec. 21) and Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers (Dec. 23).

Later in the season, the Jazz have an eight-game homestand from Feb. 1-March 3 followed by a five-game road trip March 5-12.

The bottom line: In what is sure to be a stacked conference, Utah closes out the year with six of its final 10 games away from the Delta Center.
