    Your guide to Seafair events this weekend — plus, some free concerts

    It's Seafair Weekend! So get ready to rumble — literally.

    🛩️ You can watch hours of boat races and soaring (sometimes roaring!) aircraft during the festival, which runs Friday through Sunday.


    • All three days, there will be a food court, beer garden, kids' zone and live music at Genessee Park. The Blue Angels are scheduled to take to the skies at 3:35pm each day. View the full schedule here .
    • General admission is free on Friday. Single-day passes for Saturday or Sunday are $45 for adults, $15 for kids and seniors.

    Thursday

    🎸 Soak up a free concert at Seattle Center , featuring Sasami, Black Ends and KEXP DJ Prometheus Brown. The music starts at 5pm at the Mural Amphitheater. All ages with a 21+ beer garden.

    🎺 Or vibe to Caveman Ego's funky psychedelic rock at another free concert at 7pm at Jefferson Park .

    Friday

    😻 Max out on cuteness at CatVideoFest 2024 , which will screen a compilation of cat videos at the SIFF Cinema Egyptian.

    • Starts at 7pm Friday. Showtimes are 1pm and 3:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $16.50 for adults, $15.50 for students and seniors.

    🎵 Learn to swing with Seattle Sunshine Swing Dance on the top floor of the Phinney Center. Beginner lessons 1:15pm to 1:45pm. Open dance until 3:45pm. Suggested donation of $15.

    Saturday

    🎉 Celebrate Seattle's Black community at the annual Umoja Fest. It features the AfricaTown Heritage Parade at 1pm, which kicks off at 23rd Avenue and East Cherry Street.

    • Live music and food vendors will be set up at Judkins Park from 11am-8pm Saturday and 11am-6pm Sunday.

    📘 Bring books, blankets and snacks to Seattle Public Library's Silent Reading Picnic at Volunteer Park Amphitheater. 11am to 1pm. Free.

    🪩 Dance to New Wave classics from The Cure, New Order, Prince, Depeche Mode and INX with Nite Wave at Tractor Tavern. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are $15 .

    Sunday

    🎻 Revel in the deep timbre of classical cello at a performance by Bradley Hawkins at Westlake Park in downtown Seattle. 11am-2pm. Free.
