Iconic conservationist Jane Goodall to hold youth-focused talk in St. Pete

Zoologist and chimpanzee expert Jane Goodall is coming to St. Pete.

Why it matters: The iconic environmentalist is set to headline a weekend of events in Tampa Bay, including a Youth Environment Summit for aspiring conservationists.

• Goodall's talk will be geared toward young people but is open to anyone.

Details: "An Evening with Dr. Jane Goodall" is planned for 7pm Sept. 14 at Tropicana Field. Tickets are available for $10-20 on Eventbrite .

Then, on Sept. 15, Goodall's Roots & Shoots organization will partner with local environmental groups to hold a day of action. Events include beach and park cleanups and environmental workshops.
