    Twin Cities Labor Day weekend events: Black business fair, Bridgerton Days, "Skateroke"

    Minnesotans, get together at the Black Entrepreneur State Fair this weekend, a festival dedicated to empowering, celebrating and promoting Black business owners.


    What's happening: Though it was initially put on hold due to Monday's storm, Cabooze Plaza in Minneapolis will host over 50 Black-owned businesses, live music and entertainment daily through Saturday night.

    • Plus: If you're craving fair fare, the event has around 20 local food vendors serving themed eats, including a variety of options for those with dietary restrictions.

    If you go: 11am-8pm Thursday-Saturday at 913 Cedar Ave., Minneapolis. Tickets are $10.

    🎩 Lace up your corsets, "Bridgerton" fans the Minneapolis Institute of Art's Bridgerton Days are Thursday night and Saturday afternoon. The museum will transform into Regency-era London with special activities, live music and guides dressed in period-appropriate costumes. Free

    🔎 Watch archeologists in action at a State Capitol Complex Archaeology Tour this Friday. A team is currently excavating the area to determine if historical material still remains, and everyone is invited to get up close during the process. Free, but tickets required

    💻 Geek out about Web3 at NFT MSP's Culture Convergence in St. Louis Park Friday-Sunday. The technology-focused conference's diverse lineup includes a BMX stunt show, play-tests for new games, a variety of panels and an NFT scavenger hunt. Weekend passes start at $40

    🛼 Multitask at Skateroke , an adults-only karaoke and roller-skating event at Uptown's recently opened indoor roller rink, TCS Studio. Those looking to avoid the spotlight are welcome to listen and watch, per the event listing. $15 online, $20 at the door

    🌽 Last call for Corn Fest! The Valleyfair attraction and " shuckin' good time " runs Saturday through Monday and features specialty corn-themed food and entertainment, including a corn eating contest and fireworks on Saturday night. Included with park admission, which starts at $39.99
