Following vandalism closure, Kearney’s Harmon Pool set to reopen Monday
KEARNEY, Neb. — After being shut down for a week because of vandalism, the biggest outdoor pool in Kearney is set to reopen. The city says Harmon Pool is now refilled and will take about three days to warm up and get to proper water chemistry. If all goes well, the city will reopen the pool on Monday.

Victim Identified in Kearney Trail Collission
The driver / victim has been identified as Ronald D. Ayers, age 72, of Kearney, NE. Next of kin have been notified. An autopsy has been ordered by the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office. The incident involved a Union Pacific Rail Road train car and a 2014 Dodge van. The section of highway was closed for approximately 4 hours during the investigation.

Juveniles cited for stealing golf cart
Kearney, Neb. — Juveniles were cited after Kearney Police said they stole a golf cart from a local golf course over the weekend. Lt. Derek Luke said three juveniles stole a golf cart from Meadowlark Hills Golf Course, 3300 30th Ave., over the weekend. He added it was recovered by KPD on Monday.
