Celebrating a century of care: Good Samaritan marks 100 years with community fest
KEARNEY,Neb. — CHI Health Good Samaritan will be celebrating its 100th birthday this Sunday, July 21, 11 am-1 pm. There will be a free, picnic lunch with hot dogs, chips, cupcakes, and ice cream. There will also be live music, bounce houses, summer safety tips for kids and a peek inside a real ambulance. AirCare’s medical helicopter will be landing in Parking Lot N for a meet and greet with the crew.
Season Ends The Way it Started For Senior Melons
The bad news is, the weather cut the Gothenburg Melons’ season a little short. The good news, they went out with a win. The Senior Melons traveled to Kearney on Tuesday, July 2 to take on the Kearney Jersey’s Seniors. Coincidentally, that is the team Gothenburg started the season against back on May 22. The season began with an 11-0 victory, and ended with a 16-8 win.
