Fox found in Lincoln tests positive for rabies
A fox that recently tested positive for rabies is the first case of its kind in Lincoln. Lincoln Animal Control announced Thursday that the fox came into contact with somebody’s dog and was injured. Animal control was called to pick up the fox, which was showing signs of illness.
Kansas defensive end to visit Nebraska on July 27
A defensive end from Kansas has scheduled a visit with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Hunter Higgins will visit the Lincoln campus on July 27. His visit will come just days after his July 25 visit to the Oklahoma Sooners. The three-star prospect plays for Maize South High School in Wichita, Kansas. National recruiting analyst Tom Lemming had high praise for Higgins last December. He wrote, (Higgins) should be become a national recruit. Excellent length, quick hands and feet and shows explosive moves to the ball. Tenacious and tough. Terrific attitude. 3.9 GPA. The recruit has been a popular player recently. Huskers to host St. Louis athlete at the end of the month
The Nebraska Cornhuskers will host a class of 2026 athlete on campus next month. Keenan Harris is scheduled to visit the Lincoln campus the weekend of July 26-28. Harris is a four-star prospect for Saint Louis University High in St. Louis, MO. Last season, he appeared in ten games, recording 95 total tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack. He holds two dozen offers, including from Arkansas, Auburn, and Illinois. For 2026, the athlete is ranked the No. 4 player in the state of Missouri and the No. 104 overall prospect. Nebraska currently holds no commitments to its class of 2026 but has made a flurry of offers in recent weeks.
