CBI investigates human remains found near Bailey, Colorado campground

DENVER ( KDVR ) – After human remains were found just outside of a remote camping area in Bailey, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation is working to find the identity of the person.

CBI posted a press release about the discovery on Thursday.

According to the release, the Park County Sheriff’s Office received a report on Tuesday afternoon of possible human remains in an area outside of Bailey on U.S. Forest Service Land. The sheriff’s office, coroner and investigators were able to confirm that these remains were human.

According to the press release, the scene is secure and authorities are collecting evidence and trying to identify the remains. Besides the discovery, little information has been released.
