    Interstate 84 near Pendleton to Baker City closed due to Durkee Fire

    PENDLETON, Ore. -- Oregon Department of Transportation said some of Interstate 84 is closed due to the Durkee Fire.

    According to ODOT, eastbound I-84 is closed from Pendleton at exit 216 to Baker City at exit 302.

    ODOT said I-84 is also closed between Baker City at exit 302 and Ontario at exit 374.

    Officials said the Durkee Fire is burning near Farewell Bend near exit 353 on U.S. 30 between Baker City and Haines. OR 204 Tollgate HWY, OR 203 Medical Springs HWY and OR 245 is also closed to all by local traffic according to officials. These roadways are still open to local traffic because detours are not available.

    ODOT said the closures are expected to last through the day.

    UKIAH, Ore. -- Updated at 9:45 a.m.: The Battle Mountain Complex is now 52,833 acres with 3% containment. Its counterpart, the Boneyard Fire, is now 30,154 acres with 0% containment.
