An Oregon canine has become the hero of their owner and siblings after they helped save their lives by promptly seeking help. After their car lost control, the dog ran about four miles to their destination to alert their human’s family members. The vehicle then crashed into a stream, landing Brandon Garrett and his dogs in difficult terrain that they were hard to rescue from, per People . The dog’s owners and siblings were stranded near the stream overnight before the Baker County Sheriff’s Office rescued them.
According to the Baker County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook post , the car crash happened on Sunday. However, they were alerted about it the following day. Garrett’s brother made the report, stating that Garrett hadn’t reached the campsite as planned. Moreover, his family had already located his car but needed some help rescuing him due to the rugged terrain.
The Oregon resident and his pups were safely rescued with the joint effort of the Baker County Sheriff’s Office, Baker County Search and Rescue, Halfway Ambulance, and Pine Valley Rural Fire District. The rescuers noticed the vehicle and one of his canine companions were stranded in a ravine. However, they were able to rescue that dog as well.
Fortunately, all of Brandon Garrett’s canine companions made it out of the car crash safely. The rescue mission was successful, thanks to the beloved dog, who ran several miles to save their owner.
