    Police search for missing teen last seen in east Bakersfield

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Police are asking the community’s help in locating a missing teen girl last seen in east Bakersfield.

    Emily Martinez, 15, was last seen on Monday, in the 500 block of Monterey Street, just east of Tulare Street, around 1 p.m., according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

    Dangerous heat returns Tuesday to Kern

    She is considered at-risk due to being a first time runaway. Police say she stands at 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs around 240 pounds with brown hair and green eyes, BPD said through a news release.

    Martinez was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, jean shorts and black Croc shoes.

    Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call BPD at 661-327-7111.
