The incident happened Wednesday, May 22, at the Saratoga County jail in Ballston Spa, but was not reported publicly until Tuesday, July 2. Sheriff’s officials said John Rathbun, age 26, punched a corrections officer in the face and bit him, causing injuries. The officer was treated at a medical facility and released.

Police investigate double stabbing on Furman Street
Schenectady, NY (WRGB) — Police in Schenectady are investigating a Thursday night stabbing that left two men with stab wounds. Police responded at 8:03 P.M., to the area of the 300 block of Furman Street for a reports of a stabbing. According to police, two adult male victims with stab wounds were found at the scene. They were transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment, and both believed to be in stable condition.
Father Shoots Son During Alleged Break-In At Providence Home, Police Say
Deputies in Saratoga County were called at around 9 p.m. Sunday, June 30, for shots fired at a residence in the town of Providence located on Centerline Road. Sheriff’s officials said an investigation found that 34-year-old Ethan Chase, who is homeless, forced his way into the home of his father, 65-year-old Earl Chase. At the time, the senior Chase had an order of protection from his son.

Another truck has struck the Glenridge Road bridge in Glenville. The crash happened around 3:11 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenville Police said a 2019 Freightliner was heading east on Glenridge Road. The driver, 51-year-old Patrick Tescione, of Wallkill, told police he was watching the car in front of him and did not see the flashing warning signal.
